Kerry put away major mafia figures as a prosecutor in Massachusetts. Those are the kind of people who preyed on the Big Dig and caused many of the cost overruns. The blame for the over-runs is not Kerry's but the state and local government officials, plus the corrupt construction companies infiltrated by the Mafia. Watch a typical SOPRANOS episode and you will see how they operate. But Kerry like Guliani helped put a lot of those bastards where they belong, in prison.

In actuality, the person most harmed by Big Dig scandals is Mitt Romney, a GOP candidate for president. That may not be fair but he has been the Mass governor for a long time, so he certainly earns a lot more blame than Kerry.
