As for the NASD fills, I'm using Fidelity, which sends to 1 MM, typically in-house, and which instantaneously fills out of inventory at the current ASK so long as auto-exec is enabled

So this is the secret ingredient in your arsenal. If you can be assured of getting filled at the current bid or ask without having to depend on a good spot in the SOES queue, or being at the mercy of the MMs with SelectNet, you are doing great. I'm real interested in hearing your reply to Eric's question.
