Charles, A consumption tax also makes sense, and is perhaps the solution to the regressive aspects of a sales tax. Unfortunately, there are so many people with a vested interest in maintaining the present depraved system, we'll never get to a more rational one. :( PS Anyone following the OVIS soap opera? Law suits are now flying.
