We all know that Microsoft ushered in the information age, as those NASDAQ ads are so fond of pointing out. However, even with all the benefits they have brought, their influence and power cannot go unchecked. I'm not saying Microsoft is right or wrong in the recent developments. I'm just saying that a society which values competition and level playing fields must never become complacent about the status quo. Joe S.
