Very nice man but senile. There are always problems with his exams once we go over them as a class. Students have literally brought the textbook out and said "I put ____ as an answer because it is in the textbook and you marked it wrong" but for Professor Dennis, it is his way or nothing. VERY frusterating.

Lectures are scattered and pointless. He does not use powerpoint, he just talks and talks and talks. He is very old and his class is boring. If you're going to take him, bring a pillow. . Read the book, don't listen to him.

He is a very nice man, but his lectures are very scattered. The material we go over is useless. He always uses poweroints and he swiftly goes through the slides so no one can copy the notes.

It was difficult to pay attention in class though he went over each chapter through powerpoints. Contact the TA, not Dennis.

He is an ok guy but as a teacher he is not much help if you actually want to learn the material. I would NOT recommend him. His was the class i most dreaded during the week :(

He likes to ramble and does not know how to use technology. If you are going to take this class, be prepared for an old fashioned, listen and take notes lecture. He is very friendly, but I did not enjoy his class

Yes, he definitely rambles on at some points, but usually it is relevant to helping you understand the lesson. I recommend Dennis for those taking SOCI for a Gen Ed and just want an A.

Very nice and sweet. I did not like his teaching method. But everything was out of the book so i still did well. As I said before, he is very nice but I would not recommend him if you are actually trying to learn something

Gibberish. Spends a half hour on each slide covering material that is in no way related to the topic.
He's a sweet man, but it just doesn't make up for his lack of concern for the material that we are SUPPOSE to be learning. And he has a problem turning his phone off so he answers it during the lecture which is totally unprofessional in my opinion.

Prof uses Soci 101 as his soapbox to preach about black history and relates every single thing in class to civil rights/black issues. Def not what I signed up for. he sends out chapter terms and thank goodness he does bc he barely goes ovr any of it in class. evrything I got from the class I read in the book while doing the study guide. DON'T TAKE

Basically, you don't really need to show up for his class, just read the book. Quizzes are mainly definitions of terms and tests are applications of the terms. He kind of just rambles on, and often isn't clear.

All previous reviews are irrelevant now that he has changed his curriculum. Everything is done IN CLASS and good luck hearing the minute details he babbles and sticks on the test. Study HARD. His class is NOT as easy as it use to be.

going to class is a waste of time. his lectures do not cover any material in the book and he rambles on and on. terrible professor!!!!!
