I had the same unpleasant experience today :-(

Velocity is ok, but it has a ways to go before I'll call it *good*. There are little things missing. For example, there's not logout button; you have to kill the window to log out. Entering trades is marginally easier and you can put in a number of them at a time. I find it convenient to be able to use the web interface for real-time research while using Velocity for trading and real-time updates of positions.

Now that Schwab bought out one of the old-time private banking houses, I'd expect them to offer more services to the upper tiers of their clientele. You're almost certainly among them :-)
