I don't trade on-line but I agree. I don't wait long before I bother my broker to determine whether a confirm has hit my account. I have real-time quotes and so I can usually tell if I got executed or not but I always double check with the broker immediately and if they don't have a report back yet I make them send a status request down to the floor.
