<What's your read into this statement?> The Gateway's statement is rather meaningless, but I can tell you what is behind it. Gateway was going after Athlon very aggressively. They designed their own mobo. Had it worked, no Intel bribe would have mattered. But some smart @$$ Gateway EE deviated from the reference design and the mobos where failing AMD validation. So they turned around to Intel and said that they are 100% ready to go with Athlon, but could consider PeeIII instead for a very sweetheart deal. Kap
