Here is what it needs to be to be recognized as a valid Twitter URL on SI:

The Android o/s automatically adds a tracking parameter "t", hence the "?t=[code]". Either you (manually) or SI (programmatically) unfortunately need to recognize and splice that off. In sum, you are not doing anything wrong!
