Columbia: details emerge theinquirer.net

The big news is that the DDR 128 bit RAM that we believe cards using this technology will
work at 600MHz (2 times 300MHz).

This kind of fast memory was introduced from Infineon and by some other Dramurai in the
last few months.

This would be PC4800 under current nomenclature, or maybe PC9600 with a 128bit bus. But Rambus announced their ghz memory nearly a year ago, and it's had such a production ramp and so many design wins, it's going to be tough for this stuff to catch on. Snort.
