Nancy Grace is being accused of using racist language Tuesday in describing George Zimmerman’s freedom, saying he’s “driving through Taco Bell every night having a churro,” after the neighborhood community watchman was acquitted of murder charges in the Trayvon Martin shooting.

Grace, a former prosecutor and the flagship personality on television network HLN, was incensed over Zimmerman attorney Mark O’Mara urging the jury to acquit his client and let him “get back to his life” during closing arguments last week in the Zimmerman trial.

“Give Zimmerman back his life?” Grace said with incredulity on HLN on July 12, when closing arguments in the case wrapped up. “He’s out on bond, driving through Taco Bell every night having a churro. You know, long story short, he’s got his life. Who’s going to give life back to Trayvon Martin?”

Grace said she found O’Mara’s statement “at the very least a very poor choice of words.”

Now the HLN host is having the very same accusations, with some even going so far as to call Grace a racist for the language she used. Zimmerman is half Hispanic and half white.

Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich tweeted the video of Grace’s comments Tuesday and accused the HLN host of being a racist.

“Hi @nancygracehln, why are you racist toward Hispanic people?” Pavlich asked, referring to Grace’s Twitter handle.
