As I have previously stated I probably refer out 5 or 6 potential malpractice cases a year. Fewer than one in ten are accepted by the malpractice attorneys I work with. The usual reason that I am given is they can't find a doc to certify.

I don't think the change in the law has materially affected the cost of health care, but that is just an unsupported observation.

However, I do not think many frivilous law suits are filed in Maryland.
