Mark, Evidently, you don't believe that Jesus was God in human form. One entity does not counteract the other. God's list of people to be killed by the troops of Moses, was given for a reason, but was still later than the issuing of the Ten Commandments.
Jesus said that we should love our neighbors. That doesn't mean every other human on the planet. Look what He did to the money changers in the temple. He didn't kill them, but His rage could have.
Obviously, you do not understand that situations change as time goes marching by, and different task appear that have to be done.
I don't think you, really, give a damn about what God, and Jesus said, but are a bleeding heart liberal that is afraid to confront his enemies, with an eye for an eye attitude. Just wait until someone invades your home, and family, with the intent to do harm, and you stand there quivering like a coward, and do nothing to protect them. When, and if, that happens, I hope you survive so you can feel the pain of your incompetence. |
