Those server numbers don't surprise me.

As I mentioned in post #7243, I thought that IBM was taking share from Sun and HP, especially HP. The magnitude of Sun's decline is a bit of a surprise however. Probably due to the collapse of the "dot bomb" market. IBM was never particularly strong in this market, which looking back was quite fortunate for them.

Don't see the stock price doing much in the near term. Business may not be as bad as other tech firms, but it is certainly not good. I don't think IBM can buck this very weak economy and market. I have been out of the stock for several months now, but will consider getting back in if it dips into the 80s, which I think is a very real possibility. Not negative on the company, just not very optimistic on the stock price for the next several months. JMHO.
