Qualcomm controls the EV-DO market, which is why Selna treated those products differently. There was no one to fill the void. But WCDMA is a totally different space. There is a robust group of Qualcomm licensed WCDMA chipset suppliers to take over existing and future business of the company, without any risk of disruption from the fallout of this nuclear war. Broadcom is not among them. (I would have expected Samsung to have mediated a settlement, but their use of unlicensed chipsets remains an enigma.)
