TC, for hourly swing trades, I see nothing wrong with Datek. With the kinds of points you're getting, I wouldn't sweat and eigth here and there. Nevermind $20-$25 ticket charts vs Dateks $9.99. (I know of one day-trader style brokerage that charges 9.95 per ticket but you have to pay a few hundred per month for data feeds.)

In addition, you can do stop, stop limits, etc with Datek. The type of orders you do with someone like Watley is limited per ECN or exchange and is complicated for me to remember. (In fact, I never place stop orders; they are always mental.)

Not trying to talk you out of Cyber, RT3-based system, etc.; just bringing up all the potential downsides. Grass is always greener you know. :-)

I am considering moving my ETRADE money to Datek for the hourly plays.

Sam
