Pat: Thx for that clip about NT's vision ahead. This Industry needs a new image; one that is Consumer driven , not industry dictated as at present.

Although it was not the intention when the OSI protocol was developed, the Industry has willfully allowed hundreds of Standards and Protocols . The number of standards now has no parallel in any other branch of Systems Engineering.

I think Consumers should demand that the Industry clean up their act and rationalize the Standards . Once this is done, it will be feasible for Consumers to obtain better and cheaper services.

I wonder if the public would allow the AMA to have a hundred or more standards for any approved Surgical procedure. I doubt it.!
