Herb,
NegMF is usually in the magnitude of 10^8 for 14 days. If there was no NegMF processed in the set period the result of 0 would have to terminate before the MRatio calculation. I understand your other examples but in this case a '1' replacement shouldn't skew the calculation significantly. That's what I define as proximate in the final MFI value.

a !d=0 condition bypasses processing calculation on that symbol entirely when 0? I'd rather have something close than nothing on that scan date.
