ADM Tronics Secures Third Patent On Medical Device for Treatment of Neuro-Cerebral Disorders
NORTHVALE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 2000--The US Patent Office has issued a third patent on a non-invasive medical device for treating neuro-cerebral disorders, such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease, developed at ADM Tronics Unlimited, Inc. (OTCBB - ADMT).
The new patent entitled, "Corona Discharge Beam Treatment of Neuro-Cerebral Disorders" further covers a therapeutic electronic medical device that non-invasively treats a patient's neuro-cerebral condition with a pulsatory corona discharge of a complex electronic energy signal.
The technology covered by the three patents, called "NCCD" for Neuro-Cerebral Corona Discharge, was invented by Dr. Alfonso Di Mino, President and founder of ADM Tronics and Andre' Di Mino, Executive Vice President. The patents have been assigned to ADM Tronics. "I am pleased that we have another patent for the NCCD," stated Dr. Di Mino. "I hope that it will soon be able to help many people suffering from neuro-cerebral disorders."
Initial limited clinical testing with the NCCD has been promising. However, ADM Tronics' management cautions that it believes widespread availability of this therapy is, at least, several years off. In addition to exploring clinical testing of the NCCD to assemble data for presentation to the FDA, the Company is seeking strategic relationships to assist moving the technology through the clinical and regulatory process.
