shipping costs and packaging eat up the savings and more Shipping costs are paid by buyer, not seller. Packaging costs are negligable compared to costs of rent, financing inventory, and personnel. Besides, if you have a popular website you can easily sell ads on it. One company that I know of is even seriously contemplating a business model of selling goods slightly *below cost* to build enough traffic to their website to make their money selling ads. It does not sound that preposterous to me. I have had free ad- supported long distance telephone service for the past 6 months. SC
