John,

The initial scan selection brings in a large number of companies. I counted 40 for 5/12/97 on the NYSE and OTC. After sorting for CPM and merit the stocks which rise to the top easily trade in the 100000 and above range. My purpose in using a 40K volume level and an attempt to scan and select on a daily basis (its a lot of work) is to discover for myself if using the merit rating is the best route to take. Or is the system helped by actually viewing a chart and determining a base of some sort.

Whatever path we take we can all benefit from sharing our experiences. But as Jeffry suggests we probably shouldn't move too far from Pitbull's guidelines or it won't be PITBULL.

For my purposes, I don't think applying weekly parameters on a daily basis is straying too far. Although I don't know how long I can keep it up.

Which bring to mind a suggestion I have. Many of us are doing the same scan each week or even everyday. Since there are several of us participating and watching, what are the chances that we could avoid replicating the same effort? Could we take turns, once we agree on parameters, to post our scans so that others could apply their own techniques to the results?

Ralph
