Dear Irby,

I have just written a book titled DayTrading into the Millennium.

One of the major focuses of the book is sector rotation trading. One of the strategies that I found most successful with regard to sector trading is what I call trading correlation coefficients...which is trading stocks that move with or against other stocks in the same sector.

For instance, if a piece of news came out on DELL, which subsequently went up two points in a matter of a minute or two, I would place a trade on, say, CPQ which often has a strong positive correlation to DELL.

I have found that trading correlated stocks that are not the subject of a news release is profitable and less risky...and also more predictable!
