Bippin, sometimes I think that special word that describes the big brokerage firms' prediction process is "guesswork." At first when I heard that Merrill Lynch was downgrading MU I thought, oops, this is it for MU, but then I remembered how the big houses were still painting a rosy picture late last summer and early fall just when the sky started falling, so the contrarian in my sees some of the opposite occuring right now. It always seems like when a brokerage firm makes a statement like that, it's somewhat after the fact. Nevertheless, I did sell 1/2 my MU a week or two ago, which shows that I wasn't so comfortable with them in the "long" run.
