Do a PubMed on "Cytel selectin" or "Texas Biotechnology selectin"?? Texas Bio is now Encysive, of course. PDL also had a program. Background.

"Pathway interesting?"

Selectins mediate the initial phase of leukocyte migration through venules (tethering to and rolling on vascular endothelium). The concept is to stop bad actors from getting into healthy lung by stopping them from ever associating with endothelium at all.

There are three selectins. "Pan" is probably a good idea, if you're going down this road again. Not certain that it's a good idea, if you have other routes.
