tfrugal,

Re: The US position is to first strike with weapons of mass destruction? Do you believe that?

Perhaps your blind faith in the goodness of the American government needs some revision? In fact, the U.S. government did issue a National Security Strategy Initiative which stated clearly that the U.S. government can now unilaterally decide to attack any nation on earth without provocation and destroy it.

How American is that? That is much more akin to the mad aggression that Germany engaged in in the 1930's than any former principle of foreign policy ever espoused by our government.

I'm not sure how well informed you are about the nature of the new Bush foreign policy, but it is completely un-American, unfair and unworkable. It is the arrogance of a bully, the hubris of a military monster and the rest of the world cannot help but be alarmed and unhappy with an aggressive administration that sees selfishness and perpetual war as its agenda.

If you want to defend the indefensible, be my guest. SI is over-stuffed with this sort of mental midgetry. But, if you want me to be a milquetoast, fuggedaboutit!

Bush Sucks. The world needs to let him know he's just another wannabee emperor who's got no clothes.
