Timing really amazes me sometimes. The error message you saw was an error that existed for about 5 seconds. Also, at the time you wrote your post, I was just starting on the PeopleMarks part of that page.

The basics are done now except that clicking profiles and a person's new messages are dead-ends currently. Running out of steam, so don't know how much, if any further I'll get tonight.

And you're right. If you hit the New Msgs link for a thread then go back to the Subject/PeopleMarks page, nothing has changed. That's because anything that actually writes to the database hasn't been done yet. Won't be doing any of that stuff for quite a while. Because any changes I write there will just get overwritten on the next import.

Speaking of which, I'm going to see if there's anything else I feel like doing tonight, and when I'm done, I'll fire off another import so tomorrow morning the new database will be pretty close to matching the production one.
