Battery life is a function of size and weight. The bigger the battery, the more time you can get out of it, but it makes it heavier to walk around with. You can go more than 8 hours with a car battery, but it gets bulky to carry around. Battery time is also a function of the number of devices that you run off of them. So if you are running a PC, a headset, and wireless cards, you will draw more power and will run your battery down much quicker than 4 hours. The pentium chip also draws 4x the power of the 586 chip, so the power problem isn't getting any easier with this upgrade. Did you see any reference to a paying customer for these shipments or are they placing them again? Look for another financing deal, now that they've popped their stock up with this news.
