tip,, it was 3rd quarter end,, they were trying to jack some of them up, especially the ones where it looked easy,, not much selling around.. A couple that I trade where it's a month end ritual, started as usual late in the session, but , surprise,, huge sell orders came out ..This stopped the price increase but still left the tick up...
this is just a guess at answering your query..BTW,, I see this showing of large selling as bearish.. These guys wanted to take advantage of buying they normally let slide so as to make their own books look good..
