LoF - I am objecting to nothing more than J & P's continued defense of "mother henning" in general, as stated in their most recent posts, as if they have special rights and responsibilities not granted to mere mortals.

if certain people had some class and respect around here, there wouldn't be a need to have mother hens.
LoF - IMO, there need be no "mother hens", just a general thread consensus and action to keep things respectful and on topic.

If you think that we do not set to "rules" of engagement on this thread, you are very wrong.
Where did I say any such thing? They have a right to speak as does anyone, but not a special right, as they have repeatedly claimed.

Help them to govern the thread together.
No, I will not help them do so, because as I stated, I do not feel it is their special right to do so. I will, as you have felt to the need to do, address others as a mere mortal, a general thread member.

Don't object to Jill or Poet.
I agree with you, and take no exception to their or anyone else's condemnation of certain posts or posters, and therefore am not and have not made any such objection. I too support their and everyone's right to keep the thread productive and respectful.

This is a good topic thread, and my thanks to J&P for starting it.

Best,
Jeff Smith
