John,

Thanks for the kind words. I think it is easier to find a potential weakness in the stock than in the company. My fears regarding the stock is the rate and degree to which earnings estimates continue to rise. It doesn't appear that these estimate increases will cease until INTC eventually falls short one quarter. That would generate some problems for the stock (or another great buying opportunity depending on your viewpoint).

As bullish as I am on Intel I think like you. I am constantly looking for potential problems so as not to become blinded. Hard as I try, though, I can't find any serious potential threats.

I believe at this point that it is Intel's marketing and brand awareness that give the company its biggest edge. Intel could never have afforded such a campaign when they were the size of AMD and CYRX. Intel has enormous resources due to their size which is due to their past success when they had virtually zero competition (some might argue they still have virtually zero competition). It is these huge resouces that are used to fuel MARKETING, R$D, and MANUFACTURING CAPACITY. Few companies have the resouces to devote to all three of these areas. I think 2 out of 3 just won't cut it.

Regards and good luck to all,

FF
