Kerry almost beat Bush, even with Bush's cheating and during war-time. No war-time presidt has ever been beaten. Nixon beat McGovern by 20% even with Vietnam being so unpopular. Kerry also won all three debates and was declared the winner by a sad but resigned Sean Hannity at 4 pm pacific time on election day based on edit polls in Ohio showing Kerry ahead by 5%. It came down to a single state in 2004, the one state where Bush-Rove concentrated most of their cheating efforts. Ohio. Do you have any idea how dirty the GOP was in Ohio last year? Bush also lucked out in Florida with the two hurricanes after which he basically bought 200,000 votes, and cheated there too. Bush also dishonored all vets with the smearvet campaign and seven (count them) phony terrorist alerts whenever Kerry pulled 5% ahead in the polls.
