It’s the opening salvo in the fight for power between the socialist young Turks and the older establishment. Sounds like a veiled threat - if their [young leftist] ideas are not welcome — that means the establishment’s oldsters are a waste of time. A threat to spit the movement - and to kick the old guard out. Lenin spent his entire life splitting the Social Democrats into smaller fractions - and ended up at the head of the table in a totalitarian Politburo.
