OT - Interest only home loans. I think they do have their place. It's crazy to market them to the general public, but I myself was considering one recently. It came down to either owning my house outright or taking out a large interest only loan to allow me to continue playing the market with a greater portion of my assets. Even though I'm not crazy about the housing market (it's pretty good still in NC - less downside imho) I like the idea of being debt free. But if we were in a different market I would have strongly considered taking the interest only loan as I think I can beat a 4% ROR.

FWIW.
