Probably some analyst(s) got a feeling things will get better since there has been no preannouncement so far.>>>

Sixty days ago eps for AMD was at -.86 based on guidance from AMD and averaging all the analysts' estimates. In the last 7 days at least one or two of the analysts revised their nos. down.....usually done based on guidance from the company. I hope that was the case in this revision and some analyst getting bullish.
