Matt,

I now understand what you and C Carlos are saying. I thought
he was simply making a blind statement that .38 > .30 therefore
Trident deserves the higher stock price.

The PE perspective is interesting. Projected 1997 PE:

TRID: 21/1.86 = 11.3
SIII: 17/1.32 = 12.9

Quite frankly I think both PEs are relatively low compared with
the rest of the technology sector. Hell compared to anything
for that matter.

What I don't get is H&Q seeming to be disappointed about 5%
growth for Q1. I myself prefer to look at seasonal growth.
But even if you look at qtr-to-qtr Trident's EPS growth is
flat for the second half of 1996, while S3's is linear.

Just my thoughts,
