CJ, I'll ignore the other meaningless parts of your post and address the only interesting one:
There are many positive aspects to immigration reform. It would be a huge help for SSI and Medicare.
I've heard this argument before. Since the current citizens of the U.S. aren't having enough children to bear the burden of retiree benefits, we need to import them from other countries.

I personally go back-n-forth on this. In essence, I agree, but then again I've always been an advocate for LEGAL immigration.

On the other hand, the way SS and Medicare is set up, we would have to continually increase the population of America in order to support retirees simply because life expectancies are a lot higher than back when SS and Medicare were set up.

But either way, this argument of yours falls short because you are assuming that "immigration reform" is about immigration in general. No it isn't. It's about illegal immigration, specifically what to do with the millions of "undocumented" immigrants in America who essentially cut in line.

Like I said, "immigration reform" is a synonym for "amnesty," which has been tried before. Didn't work then, won't work now, but it's always going to be pushed by the very party that stands to win the most amount of votes from it, i.e. Democrats.
