Paul, RE: Pentium III Article

<<According to sources close to Intel, speeds for the Pentium III desktop chip will increase from 450 MHz and 500 MHz at launch on Feb. 26 to 733 MHz with a 133-MHz front-side bus by mid-2000. >>

I understood that Pentium III (600+ MHZ) & Rambus memory (600+ MHZ) would be together on machines in a year or so. I am confused by the above statement from the article you referenced which says systems will have "a 133-MHz front-side bus by mid-2000." Won't this bus limit these machines? What is being done on the bus issue?

As you can tell, I'm not an expert in this field. I'm just an interested buyer.

Thanks,

Duncan
