Yes I was born in Romania, went to German school and once wrongfully admired "Old Europe". After living in the US and getting a different view of life (not that the US is perfect, but from that) I realized that certain negative qualities are deeply rooted in certain European people psyche. I use the term "Old Europe" as it does not contain ALL European countries. There are also very lovely nations in Europe if the Czech, the Dutch, Irish, Italians and many others. Regardless of WDM or not "Old Europe" support of Saddam Hussein for monetary gain and their opposition to his removal intensified this feeling. In France last year houses of worship were/are still burned to the ground and cemeteries are still desecrated and in certain quarters suicide bombing of innocent people including children justified
