DELL started the current price war -- they were fed up with being overcharged by INTC ... I doubt that DELL felt overcharged, but I believe they were seriously considering using AMD. INTC obviously decided to win that business by dropping their price. That's a pretty normal, rational business process. Sooner or later someone wins the business and has to live with the results. AMD cannot afford to win this one, imo.
