Perhaps you should research the thread before making glib, uninformed accusations. In addition to this post, I found two others where I posted articles critical of Dean's mud-slinging this year.

We agree 100% on "it may well be that the harsh rhetoric that dominates politics these days has hurt all politicians in the eyes of the general public." Whether it's Rove or DEAN or Limbaugh or whoever, the crotch-bashing politics of the 51% "strategy" have weakened the entire system.

That's the whole point of this thread. If I am critical of Bush, it's because he is a principal perpetrator of that style in my view. So are DEAN and Hillary based on recent speeches - a total turnoff.

My only hope is that America gets turned off by the bash-and-crash crap and the 2008 presidential nominees are relatively decent moderates.

We shall see.

Hey, that's 1700 posts with only a handful of bans and hardly a single major food fight. And some said it couldn't be done.
