Hi Joan,

Maybe your eyes can't see into the future, but from here it sounds like your mind is making up for it.

I still believe the DOW in the mid-$5000 range is rational... but anything that might spook investors into a selling spree could swing the pendulum DOWN, DOWN, DOWN.

As anecdotal evidence, I use delays in getting calls through to Schwab (it happened several times at the mid-hour on Friday) as an indicator that investor are getting real jumpy.

And that's l like sharing an elevator full of porcupines with hiccups.
