geriatric care or lack of it.. i found article very strange. i have been using geriatric care specialist for over a decade. he heads up the department at un of penn. they have several doctors practicing in that department and also run a hospice center.. recently built a center in the hospital for hospice patients too sick at home for care to get them balanced again. they built a main sitting room with huge fireplace, kitchen etc.. for family friends and adjoining bed in patients room so you can stay with them. the whole idea is to still give a sense of family and peace while at the hospital for critical care which cannot be given at home.
