Pretty much.. little anger though of consumption tax we are feeling up here.. yet.. Refiners close shop and import (yeah some oil nation we are :o( Government does nothing about it since higher consumer costs = higher VAT revenue... Ontario and BC just 'harmonized' their sales tax with the Feds... which effectively means a tax grab... say 8% per litre of gas extra for one... In Canada we pay about 20% on average more than Americans for every good.. net of taxes.. someone is making obscene profits and the government turns a blind eye as it is an auto tax increase.. I am more convinced than ever... Going forward there will be better places to live than the US or Canada..
