richard- well, you got off lighter than me. my clients started calling around 1:45 my time. one of them was on his cell at a fidelity office and had just checked his portfolio. normally these sell offs dont affect us, so when he found out it had--he paniced. what a suprise! we went into this with puts on a few, but not near enough. however the ones i bought, that i was expecting to make only a little on are now deep in the money. all in all this hasnt been nearly as bad as i thought it was, but it still hurt. i just dont like talking to my clients who call, almost in tears, thinking they are going to have to eat dogfood in their retirement years. that hurts. good luck to all, trey
