Immigration is generally good for our economy. Immigrants who enter legally are probably more likely to contribute large surpluses of value to the economy over the value of services provided to them. I am disgusted that our elected officials think the solution is as simple as passing a new law.

When our elected officials thwart enforcement of immigration laws and then complain about the current laws discriminating people see partisanship and posturing. It would do wonders for our relationship with Mexico if the laws were being enforced.

The wholesale emigration of working age people form Mexico has to be a huge drain on their economy.

Mexicans are still outsiders enough that the feel the need to provide diligent work for their pay. They often perform the at higher piece rate than citizens do.

They also spend money. Most spend most of the money they earn, which helps our economy.
