DEE DEE, I don't know whether to laugh or to cry. You lost me in your first paragraph as your psychological reasoning made no sense. Maybe (hope) it was the late (early) hour of the post.

Seems to me that if you are genuinely interested in the welfare of others and would like to make a difference in this world, the stock market is not the place. There are many worthy and needy charities who would appreciate your money. A market maker is not one of them. While the market may seem like a charitable contribution depending on your choice of stocks, get real and admit that the reason you are in it is the hope of making money FOR YOURSELF. Greed is the underlying psychological state of mind that is driving the market. I'm okay with it because I have found that once your financial house is in order, the more you have the more you can give away. Giving then becomes part of life and fear and insecurity wains away.

Get some sleep. C YA
