Why was Bush in a rush to invade Iraq? We had Iraq surrounded, in a box, with UN inspectors getting unprecdented access. Also we had not taken the time to build a real coalition or get UN support for an invasion. Finally, the Bush administration never worked out a post-invasion plan. Or if they did it was not a realistic one. What was the big rush?

Everyone agreed Saddam was a menace, but he was not an imminent threat the way Bush told us, and he was not in league withy Al Qaida or involved in 9-11. Quoting democrats as saying Saddam had WMD's or was dangerous missses the point. You don't just start a war based on a belief someone might have weapons, especially when uyou already have them surrounded and are inspecting them.
