Well 4GB RAM is probably more than enough. Mind you with XP (32bit) that is 4GB LESS the video card memory. (what is that? 512MB or 1GB?)

Bad MOBO? Yeah that too could be a problem.

No question when they freeze it is like smelling coolant in the car cabin - you know there is more pain coming.
