They settled because they didn't want to fight the allegations. You have reached the conclusion they were guilty. You have the right to reach any conclusion that suits your purpose.

How does an MM conspire with another MM to widen spreads? Why is widening a spread so objectionable? Why would anyone think that a widened spread is contrary to the public interest? Can any MM widen a spread by fiat unless they are sole maker? Hasn't anyone told you that it is the public orders which determine the spread? Are you saying the MM firms set the spreads with their own principal capital in front of the public bid and offer? Tell me whether any of those 24 admitted guilt. You have a serious problem with illiteracy and illogic which I failed to fully appreciate in my previous post.

You're not greedy so why are you trading given that you've achieved your goals? You're not lying either since you "have no desire to try to make more $$$". What we have here is a failure to admit, failure to admit obvious greed and lying because your trading is sending you to the poorhouse. You had better stop these self-serving inventions because you're only deceiving yourself.

You are confused. You are mistaking a brokerage operating in the interest of its clients with a brokerage operating with its own proprietary capital. Proprietary capital transactions are watched closely by the SEC and others. The public like yourself watches the publication of these actions in order to get a greedy advantage. There's no end to the public perfidy.
