Sad irony of the day. Zenith's bankruptcy becomes official on the same day that Thomson Multimedia is floated here by the French government. The former high flying tech leader of the 60's and last US TV manufacturer was put under by Asian and European subsidies. Thomson was one of those competitors, how could Zenith compete against the French government? In twenty years will most of the U.S. hardware companies have been put under by the Chinese government? Damn, if they had only paid a dividend. Party on dooodes.
